Psalm 92:12-15

The reason we can remain vital and green and still produce fruit even in old age is because we are connected to the Source of life. To disconnect from Him is to wither and dry up. This reminds me of a promise found in Jeremiah 17:7-8:
““But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”

And what did Jesus say in John 15:5?
““Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5 NLT

The goal in life is to not only find Jesus, but to remain in Him, vitally connected to Him, so that we can continue to bear fruit for God no matter the conditions.
The Apostle Paul encouraged us in Colossians 2:6-7:
“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

Are our lives built on Him? He is the Solid Rock that will never fail us. As Jesus taught us in Matthew 7:24-25:
““Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.”
Matthew 7:24-25 NLT

All the provisions for a successful life are found in Jesus. We need not look anywhere else.
With that being said, Happy Sunday all! What a great day to be found in church ? As the psalmist states in Psalm 122:1:
“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.””
